2009 - 2010 District Goals

Our district recognizes the hard work and talents of our dedicated members. We could not continue to grow without the efforts and sacrifices they make on a regular basis. We are truly blessed to have such talented individuals among our ranks. It is the people like them that make Northern Illinois such a wonderful place to live.

It is important that we build our strength not only through gaining new members, but also by keeping our existing members enthusiastic, well trained, and providing them with plenty of opportunities within the organization. We have kept all of this in mind when we defined the following goals:

Re-establish Zone Chairman training.
Promote Zone Chairman in leadership roles.
Each club should establish goals for the year.
Club participation at the district and state conventions should increase by 10%.
Every club in the district should publish a club newsletter at least quarterly with copies submitted to each club in the zone and to the District Governor.
Each club should have at least one inter-club visit.
Each club should increase its club meeting attendance by 10%.
Promote attendance at the Illinois and USA/Canada forums.
One new Lions Club in the district.
One new LEO Club in the district.
